For years, we were taught that worth is measured in output.
The early mornings. The packed calendars. The identity built on being busy. We wore exhaustion like a badge of honor, as if running on empty proved we were doing something right.
But here’s what we’ve learned at Wild Queens Rising: burnout is not a prize. And rest is not a reward you earn after you’ve done enough. Rest is the foundation everything else is built on.

We call it the art of slowing down, because it is a practice. It takes intention. It takes unlearning. And sometimes, it takes leaving your everyday life behind to remember what your body has been trying to tell you all along.
That’s why our retreats are built around rest as much as they are around transformation. Yes, there are photo sessions and workshops and deep connection. But there are also quiet mornings with no agenda. Afternoons spent walking through vineyards or sitting by the sea. Meals that linger long after the plates are empty.
In Cassis, slowing down isn’t a struggle. It’s the natural rhythm of the place. The French don’t rush their coffee or their conversations or their pleasure. They understand something we often forget: that doing less doesn’t mean being less. It means being more present to what matters.

We believe rest is the new hustle, not because we’ve traded one productivity metric for another, but because we’ve finally recognized that we cannot pour from an empty well. Slowing down is not giving up. It is a radical act of self-trust. It is saying, I am enough, even when I am still.
If you’ve been running long enough to forget what stillness feels like, we see you. And there is a seat waiting for you, one where you don’t have to earn your belonging.
The last spot for our April 2027 retreat in Cassis is open. Maybe this is your invitation to stop. To rest. To rise, not from exhaustion, but from fullness.
Slow down with us. You’ve earned it. But more than that, you deserve it.
